I’ve had the pleasure of watching Reali-T’s progression as an artist and rise as a rapper for a few years now. I fondly remember the three-figure comment thread on Facebook following the divisive How To Rob…North East track – and running from the bar to stage-side in Independent when it was performed at a Young Sceptic Presents gig back in 2015.
Since those early days, T has become a star of the hip-hop SceNE in the North East of England. From several local festival bookings to headlining Newcastle’s o2 Academy, the Black Guy In Your Neighbourhood has achieved pretty much everything he can in the region.
Alongside iconic Sunderland collective New North East, Reali-T was part-responsible for a couple of cult-favourite bangers including Its A Lot and No Way. As a solo artist the rapper has crafted what should be considered a classic album with his debut Stay Tuned in addition to a cracking collaborative EP with Naughty40 and recently released his Life Bars… Fam mixtape.
Reali-T’s latest release has spawned a hit which we played as an EXCLUSIVE DROP on TRM Radio. The Eyeconic assisted Be Patient amassed 10,000+ streams within a week on Spotify. If Ya Boy From Hackney plays his cards right, he could quickly breakout beyond the North East boundaries and become a nationally known name, which his music deserves.
