As part of Sage Gateshead’s New Year New Artists showcase, BBC Music Introducing In The North East are presenting a show of their own headlined by Another Sky. With Beth Macari and Talk Like Tigers also on the bill, the show promises a strong representation for musicians across various genres in the North East.
Another Sky stormed 2018, with a performance on Later with Jools Holland a particular highlight for the four-piece. Likened to Radiohead and The xx, Another Sky layer ambient guitars with penetrating basslines and anxious beats with political charge to their lyrics.
Beth Macari has shared line-ups with Noel Gallagher, Mel C and Maverick Sabre among others. Clone received radio support by Gaby Roslin on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London in addition to a remix by Grammy nomination producer Eddie Amador. Beth is no stranger to playing to big crowds in the region having performed in front of 25,000 people at the South Tyneside Summer Festival.
Electro-pop duo Talk Like Tigers are made-up of twins sisters Charlotte and Stephanie. Their inventive lyrics paint vivid images a-top dreamy alternative pop production. Talk Like Tigers have performed at some of the regions biggest festivals including Evolution Emerging and Great Exhibition Of The North.
Doors open at 8.30pm on Saturday 19th January 2019 and the event is FREE but you can book tickets here.
