Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle Released 25 Years Ago

West Coast icon Snoop Dogg is arguably the most recognisable hip-hop face to mainstream audiences. Its criminal its took him so long to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame but it is undoubtedly deserved.

On this day in 1993, Snoop Dogg released his debut studio album Doggystyle. Dr. Dre was a predominant force behind the album curating g-funk production in a similar vein to The Chronic.

Doggystyle also features vocals from the likes of Nate Dogg, Warren G, Kurupt, D.O.C and more. The album broke multiple records as it debuted at number one in the US Billboard 200.
