Dizzee Rascal’s The Fifth Released Five Years Ago Today

UK grime legend Dizzee Rascal has had an amazing career. While grime purists might not appreciate Dizzee’s experimentation with other styles in favour of the 140bpm based genre, its undeniably worked for the Boy In Da Corner MC.

Five years ago today, Rascal released his fittingly titled fifth studio album The Fifth. The majority of the album was recorded in LA and the albums sound reflects the glossiness of Hollywood. With production from RedOne, A-Trak and Teddy Sky, features on The Fifth include Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Robbie Williams, Sean Kingston and Will.I.Am.

The album peaked at number ten in the UK album chart alongside 33 in Australia.
