Smokepurpp’s Deadstar Dropped On This Day In 2017

Chicago-born, Miami-raised rapper Smokepurpp is a relatively new name to hip-hop but making major waves regardless. Dropping out of High School as a result of his rising popularity, Purpp later signed to Interscope in early 2017.

On this day in 2017, Smokepurpp dropped his debut mixtape Deadstar. The tape featured frequent collaborator Lil Pump alongside Chief Keef, Juicy J and Travis Scott. Ronny J handles the bulk of Deadstar’s production with additional contributions from TM88 and Harry Fraud.

Deadstar preached at number 42 in the US Billboard 2 in addition to charting in Canada.
