Outkast’s Aquemini Hits 20 Years Since Release

Will we ever get one more Outkast album? Rumours ran riot when they reunited at Coachella a couple years back but nothing serious materialised. The duo have a classic catalogue of albums and are arguably the most influential rap pairing in hip-hop history.

20 years ago, Andre 3000 and Big Boi dropped Aquemini. The album title is a portmanteau of their respective star signs (Aquarius and Gemini).

As with most Outkast albums, the pairing produce large parts of the LP with Organized Noize and Mr. DJ also credit. Raekwon and Cee Lo Green are among the features on Aquemini. The album peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200.
