Drake’s Nothing Was The Same Dropped Five Years Ago

Octobers Very Own Drizzy Drake divides opinion in hip-hop circles, but one thing largely agreed upon is that the Toronto rapper is yet to release a classic album. What isn’t agreed upon however is which album is his magnum opus. Take Care is probably the more popular choice but there’s an argument to be made for Nothing Was The Same too.

Drake dropped Nothing Was The Same on this day in 2013. The Canadian’s third studio album features Jay Z, Sampha and Jhene Aiko with Big Sean and 2 Chainz making appearances on the bonus edition. Production credits on the LP include 40, Mike Zombie and Boi-1da.

Nothing Was The Same peaked at number one in the US, UK, Denmark and Canada and has been certified at least gold in five different countries including 4x platinum in America.
