Eazy-E’s passing is one of hip-hop’s great tragedies. There’s often the conversation of what 2pac and Biggie might have accomplished had they been still alive today. While we’ve seen Dr Dre become an entrepreneur and Ice Cube star in and create Hollywood blockbusters, it’d be interesting to know what E might be doing in 2018.
30 years ago today Eazy-E released his debut solo studio album Eazy-Duz-It. The album is produced by fellow NWA legends Dr Dre and DJ Yella with D.O.C, MC Ren and Ice Cube getting credit as writing the lyrics for Eazy.
Eazy-Duz-It is certified double platinum and peaked at 41 on the US Billboard 200 in its initial release but hit number 20 in 2015.
