Gig Guide: Tower Fest 2018 @ Leazes Park (8.9.18)

Hip-hop stages are becoming more frequent at the non-genre specific but indie persuaded festivals but its still good to see pure rap events too. After The Bridge UK hip-hop festival at The Sage earlier this year, we not get Tower Fest at Leazes Park for a refresh of what local talent looks like.

Noble headlines the festival which is in aid of Newcastle youth charity Chat Trust. Rex Regis and Kay Greyson are well known for their work within Chat and so will suitably perform on the day.

BEN, Smooth Jezza, Double U and H-Man’s Vamphigher Life make their local gig debut as a collective which means H-Man, Smooth Jezza and Double U will each be pulling double duty as H-Man performs alongside Just B as HB and The Click have a separate set too.

Others on the bill include rapper-busker NATO, grime newcomers NE Dons and Reali-T who is playing more gigs this month than I can count.

Noble headlines Tower Fest 2018 with support from NATO, Rex Regis, Reali-T, This Be The Click, Kay Greyson, HB, NE Dons and VL at Leazes Park on Saturday 8th September. Doors open 12pm. No tickets are needed as this is a free event.
