Jeezy’s The Recession Reaches Ten Years Since Release Milestone

A pioneer of the southern hip-hop sound, especially trap, Jeezy has many other pseudonyms but one thing we can all call him is a legend. The Snowman has carved a lasting legacy over the last two decades starting with the release of his first album, the classic TM101.

Today, Jeezy’s The Recession turns ten. Released in 2008, the album received critical acclaim and performed well commercially too hitting number one on the US Billboard 200 alongside cracking into the Canadian album charts.

Drumma Boy and Midnight Black contributed a lot of production to The Recession as well as Don Cannon, JUSTICE League and DJ Pain 1 supplying to the soundscape of the album. Kanye West, Nas and Trey Songz feature on the LP.
